About Montblanc

Montblanc was founded in 1906 by a Hamburg banker named Alfred Nehemias and a Berlin engineer named August Eberstein. The two men had a shared passion for writing and sought to create a new type of pen that was both elegant and functional. They began producing pens under the name "Simplo Filler Pen Co." in Hamburg, Germany, and soon became known for their high-quality writing instruments.

In 1910, the company renamed itself after the highest mountain in the Alps, which quickly became a symbol of writing excellence. Montblanc pens have been used by some of the most famous writers and intellectuals of the 20th century, including Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, and Pablo Neruda. Over the years, Montblanc expanded its product offerings to include leather goods, watches, jewellery, and other luxury accessories. Today, Montblanc is a global brand, and the company is known for its refined creations sought after by collectors and luxury enthusiasts.

“Everyone can leave a mark”

The master craftsmen at Montblanc pour their hearts and souls into each one of their creations to make masterpieces that leave a mark and will become a part of the owner’s story. Holding a Montblanc product can be seen as a symbol of achievement and success.

All of Montblanc’s items are perfect for gifting, especially when it is for a loved one who has everything. Nothing is quite as elegant as a Montblanc pen and notepad, yet nothing is quite as stylish as a Montblanc leather briefcase. Since many Montblanc pieces can increase in value over time, they can be considered not just as luxury items but as investments.
