Lumbers Fine Dining: 2016

Ever since Lumbers Jewellers was established in 1881we have always aimed to be a standout in business both in respect to our premises, range of pieces and more importantly our ethos towards the jewellery and watch-making industry. Every year Lumbers is proud to host its flagship event in-store, Lumbers Fine Dining and this year was no exception. This event has become somewhat of a grand finale for Lumbers each calendar year and it is always marvellous to see so many of our loyal cliental under one roof enjoying the ambiance of such an evening.

The Lumbers Fine Dining experience, which took place on the 10th, 16th and 17th of November began with the usual formalities of what our clients and guests have come to expect from Lumbers. A Champagne reception accompanied by canapés set the scene for the evening. Our clients enjoyed the ground floor of Lumbers, examining our palatable range of swiss watches, luxury jewellery with numerous gem stones on show and our newest feature at our luxury emporium, our Lumbers ‘Lifestyle’ accessories department.

Whilst the level of alcoholic liquids flowed clients were ushered upstairs to our dining suite that had been arranged by Finesse Hospitality, a company that without a shadow of a doubt certainly know how create, construct and coordinate quite literally a “Fine Dining” experience. We must pay tribute to James Blick and his team for once again producing another wonderful evening here at Lumbers.

From the moment our clients and guests were welcomed upstairs to our Fine Dining experience the night came into its own. Our clients were introduced to members of staff who were each assigned to a table and helped guide, examine and explain certain individual items of jewellery and Swiss watches that were especially transported to Lumbers for the select evenings. Did we mention some of these specialist pieces were being shown around by three of our fabulous models? It seems they were rather pleased when getting asked to be coated in diamonds. Can you blame them?

The evening came to a head when our clients were introduced to Siren, an electric string quartet. Without getting into too much detail in regards to their performance (as I don’t know a lot about music) they were quite simply incredible. Dominic even manged to have a dance one evening on stage with Mr. Blick, a sight that will forever be etched into my memory yet a tangible measurement of how captivating this talented group of individuals were.

The evenings were a grand success. Dominic and his team thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was great to get to know our clients on a more personal level. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in pulling off these three extravagant evenings here at Lumbers.

We hope you all have recovered for Christmas and we hope to see you again soon.
