Elizabeth Gage Jewellery is an unorthodox expression of creativity. She represented the pinnacle of independent jewellery making.
All of the jewellery featuring the Elizabeth Gage Insignia is handmade in Great Britain by expert Goldsmiths.
Collected and worn by women and men throughout the world, her jewellery is admired for its imaginative use of colours and gemstones. Her inspiration comes from her garden, flowers, and nature.
Her close attention to detail together with her highly skilled goldsmiths bring life to Elizabeth's extraordinary designs.
Elizabeth's journey to high-end jewellery design started when as a child she would amuse herself by making dolls clothes, doll houses and other items to play with, this manual dexterity has stayed with her all of her life.
Having trained for size years as a goldsmith, her first major commission was for Cartier in 1968. A resounding success, she went on to win many accolades including the prestigious Queens Award for Export, British Designer of the Year and the coveted De Beers Diamond Award. For her Agincourt ring her first design which she aspired to create using rubies and diamonds, however, her budget would not run to that! Her design was described as an engineering masterpiece.
In 2017 Elizabeth was immensely proud to be named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List and to receive an MBE.
Today Elizabeth no longer works at the bench, instead, she employs goldsmiths to bring to life her exclusive designs, however, she still designs every piece of jewellery that bears her name.
Elizabeth believes that jewellery creates a memory, how and where it was purchased, and the feeling of excitement.
