Breitling Christmas Party

Lumbers Jewellers was proud to play host to one of our standout events this year, Breitling’s Christmas Party. Here at Lumbers we’re proud to never do things by halves and our partnership with Breitling is an exemplification of such a statement.

Since 1884, three years after the birth of Lumbers, Breitling has become the undisputed official supplier to world aviation – a poignant yet strong statement from this historic Swiss watch brand. As Breitling suggest, “You simply don’t become official supplier to world aviation by chance”. A specialist of technical watches, Breitling has played a crucial role in the development of the wrist chronograph and is a leader in this complication. The firm has shared all the finest moments in the conquest of the skies thanks to its sturdy, reliable and high-performance instruments. One of the world's only major watch brands to equip all its models with chronometer-certified movements, the ultimate token of precision, Breitling is also one of the rare companies to produce its own mechanical chronograph movements, entirely developed and manufactured in its own workshops. This family business is also one of the last remaining independent Swiss watch brands.

The Breitling Christmas Party was a renowned success and both our clients and Dominic and his team thoroughly enjoyed the night. We would like to pay tribute to Breitling and their team for insuring a fantastic evening, which was full of entertainment.

From the immersive flight simulator, yes you heard that correctly, to the Breitling Wingwalker Team the night had something for everyone. The flight simulator transformed our VIP showroom into a flight deck for the evening with the opportunity to set the fastest time. It turns out our clients were more than a match when compared to the professional pilots for the evening, RAF Tycoon display pilot Flight Lieutenant Ryan Lawton.

We must also pay our respect Breitling Ambassadors and friends, Hugo and Ross Turner. Both advocates of the Breitling Emergency; their purpose is to continually question life by undertaking new and demanding quests- through a series of adventures that will put them face-to-face with many extreme aspects of mental and physical endurance. They support research programs and uncover new findings that will help create knowledge and accelerate developments areas of human study and medical understanding. An incredible achievement by an stretch of the imagination.

We also had the pleasure of meeting a part of the Breitling Wingwalker Team. Both Dave Barrell and Emily Guilding showed us the definition of being fearless. I am not sure about you but walking along a plane at mid-flight doesn’t sound like a walk in the park?
