The all-purpose sports watch every modern man desires, this Breitling Chronomat B01 42 takes inspiration from the brands history and the original Breitling Frecce Tricolori chronograph developed and launched in 1983. Taking on classic design cues with some new modern innovations, the Breitling chronograph includes a unique bezel with interchangeable rider tabs at positions 15 and 45 and a signature “Rouleaux bracelet distinctive for its angular links, polished bevels and vintage profile.
Like the original 1983 Chronomat watch, the new Breitling Chronomat B01 42 Silver features a sophisticated case crafted from polished stainless steel fitted with integrated lugs, robust shoulders, and a classic rounded crown. The ratcheted unidirectional bezel features 18 carat rose gold rider tabs and an 18 carat rose gold knurled crown which have been purposely designed for use by sportsmen so that they can be easily manipulated even with gloves on. Housed within the case and exposed beautifully through the exhibition case back, the legendary Breitling B01 automatic winding calibre works its magic, powering the central hands for hours, minutes and chronograph seconds, date, continuous seconds dial, chronograph counter for 30 minutes and 12 hours and the power reserve of 70 hours. The functions are neatly presented on a striking silver dial decorated with rose gold Superluminova hands and indexes, matching silver chronograph counters and the iconic Breitling logo at 12 o clock, all protected by scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass coated with anti-reflective treatment.
