Wayne is Lumbers LCCC Player of the Month
Wayne White has won the latest Lumbers’ Leicestershire County Cricket Club Player of the Month Award.
The right handed all-rounder won the September fans’ vote at www.lumbers.co.uk after a successful spell with bat and ball during a difficult month for the County.
The 24-year-old’s month included a 46 not out combined with taking four wickets for 36 runs against Glamorgan in the NatWest Pro40 victory. Against the same opposition Wayne scored a 68 and a 38 not out in the LV County Championship match. And he also scored 34 against Derbyshire and took wickets against Kent and Northamptonshire.
For winning the Player of the Month Award, Alex will recieve a gift from Lumbers, whose managing director Dominic Gomersall said: “Well played Wayne, and congratulations on winning the supporters’ vote.”
A Leicestershire spokesman said: "Wayne had an excellent month in September, where he produced a number of good all-round performances. He thoroughly deserves his award."
